Ve čtvrtek 5. listopadu proběhl v pražském hotelu Corinthia již 7. ročník Data Symposia, celodenní odborné konference, kterou opět pořádaly DW Klub a Adastra. Hlavní řečník konference, Američan Stephen Brobst, považovaný za Business Intelligence guru, se ve svých příspěvcích věnoval všudypřítomné BI a efektivnímu budování datových skladů.
V programu zazněly případové studie společností ČSOB, Vodafone Czech Republic, Santander Consumer Finance a Sodexo a technologicky orientované přednášky partnerů konference, společností Netezza, SAP a Ataccama.
Data Symposia se v letošním roce zúčastnilo 250 lidí, 58 % z nich působí v bankách a finančních institucích, 18 % v pojišťovnictví, 8 % v telekomunikacích, 2 % ve veřejné sféře a 14 % v dalších oborech jako retail, doprava a dalších.

Data Symposium 2009, a full day international conference, took place at the Corinthia Hotel Prague in the Czech Republic on Thursday, November 5. The event, the 7th year of the conference, was organised once again by the DW Club and Adastra. The keynote speaker, Stephen Brobst, renowned as a Business Intelligence Guru, who spoke on pervasive BI and efficient building of Data Warehouses.
In addition to the keynote addresses, guests of the conference also heard business case studies about actual projects at ČSOB, Vodafone Czech Republic, Santander Consumer Finance, and Sodexo as well as technologically focused presentations provided by conference partners Netezza, SAP and Ataccama.
250 professionals from the world of business and IT attended this year's event. 58% of the audience work in banks and other financial institutions, 18% in the insurance industry, 8% in telecommunications, 2% in governmental institutions, and 14% in other industries such as retail, logistics and transportation to name a few.
